Mozilla can count to 8 Million (in 24 hours)

Okay, so many of you may not know that Mozilla was recently listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most downloads of one software title in 24 hrs. 8,002,530 copies of Firefox were downloaded on 6-17-2008. This impressive number was achieved by us all (if you were like me and chomping at the bit to get the new version). In return, Mozilla has decided to do something for us! They have given us a cheesy little certificate that acknowledges our involvement with their record. (yes, I claimed mine... why wouldn't I??) So, I have screen cap'd it and added it onto this post for your viewing. If you were involved in this great feat, you too can claim your very own certificate!

Another great love of Firefox is the "stylish" plug-in which allows customization of gMail, gCal, and even Firefox itself. For the customization of Google's mail and calendar apps, just visit Lifehacker and check out the gmail addon, or userstyles.org for the gCal redesign.

Well, there is your tech soup for the day! Happy hacking!
